2014 Puddleduck Fume Blanc

The back of a wine label is pretty small so we thought we would expand on what's there.
This is our first ever Fume Blanc and we are thrilled with the result. It is made from 100% estate grown Sauvignon Blanc which was then fermented in oak. It was realeased at the 2014 Tasmanian White Wine Weekend and was by far Puddleduck's biggest seller. It has lovely tropical fruit flavours on the nose and with 5 months in oak it becomes fuller in the mouth than a traditional sauvignon blanc plus beautiful lingering flavours. It would be as happy coupled with a Thai inspired dish as it woud with a cheese platter.
